River Barrow

River Barrow is a Canadian-bred Stakes-Placed earner of $114, 825, her four living foals sold at public auction for $165,000, and earned $151,189 at the racetrack. River Barrow did all that was asked of her on the racetrack, and as a mother. Yet, not even one month after the passing of her most recent owner, Royal Kraft, Sr., she became unwanted by his children. Torn from her friends, her home, and her 2020 filly, she was dumped at Dominique's Livestock Market in Opelousas, Louisiana where she was purchased for meat and sorted and sorted for slaughter in a depraved Louisiana Feedlot.

Thanks to an awesome army of advocates who support Unbridled, we saved her life from the debauchery and suffering of the slaughter pipeline.

River is among the most beloved residents in Sanctuary at Unbridled. Her silver speckled coat, ebony eyes, and gentle nuzzles draw visitors to her stall for special grooming and smoozzles.

Demeanor in January 2021. She is now a treasured member of the #UnbridledFamily.

River Barrow is fittingly named for one of the most beautiful rivers in the Land of Eire. She has an equally big story to share.

For today, we shall celebrate the joy of her being among us on her 17th Birthday. Blessed be the beautiful mares who find a way to live and forgive the most egregious betrayal.
